Its 94mm high-energy rifle and 350mm gun launcher could combine into different firing modes, giving it powerful ranged options. However, with no melee weapon equipped, its weakness in close combat was always obvious. 而到了 C.E.75 年，經過扎夫特改修後的閃電暴風高達，則在原本暴風高達的炮擊定位上進一步強化。它換裝核動力系統與 VPS 裝甲，並搭載 MA-X60S/D 型複列多用途炮，同時新增腰部高能光束槍，在保持遠程火力特化的同時，也大幅提升了續航、防禦與戰場適應能力。 By C.E.75, the Lightning Buster Gundam upgraded the original Buster concept even further.
