I Finally Learned the Difference Between Feedback and Critique

As artists, we hear feedback all the time, but not all feedback is the same. In this video, I'm sharing a lesson that completely changed the way I think about critique, feedback, and improving my colored pencil work. After a recent live drawing experience, I realized how valuable it is to watch people experience a drawing in real time and to hear their honest reactions. Those conversations taught me things I never would have discovered working alone in my studio. Learning to separate critique from feedback has helped me understand what information actually moves me closer to the artist I want to become.
