Atlantis 1:96 Convair B-58 Hustler Model Build | Project Bulls Eye Vietnam 1967

In this latest model build video from Coyote Mountain Film Productions, I take on the Atlantis 1:96 scale Convair B-58 Hustler, a reissue of the classic 1955 Revell kit. For this build, I finished the aircraft as one of the three B-58 Hustlers assigned to Project Bulls Eye in 1967. This unusual USAF evaluation explored whether the supersonic B-58 could be used in a low-level bomber and close air support role during the Vietnam War. The Convair B-58 Hustler was one of the most striking aircraft of the Cold War era — sleek, fast, and futuristic. This vintage kit brings back the feel of early jet-age modeling, and the Project Bulls Eye camouflage scheme gives it a very different look from the polished natural-metal Hustlers most modelers are used to seeing.
