There is a big difference when it comes to setting up the Napier Sportz SUV tent on a Jeep Wrangler with a large tire attached to the rear door and a regular SUV vehicle. In this video, I demonstrate the (IMO) best approach in setting up the Sportz SUV tent onto a Jeep Wrangler. Over the last several years I've slept in a roof top tent (iKamper). Roof top tents (RTT) offer those travelers who want to sleep off the ground a nice platform. For myself I learned that there can be pros and cons like almost everything in life. The cons for me with the RTT are the following: 1. Having to climb down a (steep angled) ladder at night to wee-wee. (Yes: pee bottle works but #2.) 2. The RTT makes the Jeep top heavy and this can be a safety factor when driving off-road. (i.e., Alpine Loop in Colorado) 3. RTT 's are heavy. ( Gas mileage, wear and tear on Jeep ) 4. Putting on and taking off the RTT. I few years ago I sold my iKamper and started sleeping inside my Jeep. So far, it's been working well and remains a work in progress. For my sleeping platform I installed a Goose Gear system that allows me to create a sleeping area on one side of the Jeep and an equipment space on the other side. However, I soon discovered sudden inclement weather can keep one hostage inside the Jeep. I needed a solution. The Napier Sportz SUV tent was my solution!
