...And Then There Were Three — Alley-Oop Plays Pioneer Courthouse Square (6/30/26)

Such a lovely day at Pioneer Courthouse Square playing for KINK Radio's "Noon Tunes" series yesterday! My band Alley-Oop expanded to a trio for the day and rocked some fun medleys of originals, covers, and old jazz standards for a warm and receptive crowd — there was bubble blowing, painting, and plenty of drinks flowing at "Square Bar" Thanks to Mitch Elliott Jr. for announcing us, and to KINK 101.9 and PDX Transit Mall for making such a cool event happen! Huge shout-out to Yuck for learning all of our music and absolutely shredding all afternoon — here's a clip of Yuck going absolutely nuts over one of our favorite covers: "Curly Martin" by @terracemartin (Yuck's glasses literally fly off towards the end of the bass solo because they can't handle the sheer Yucky-ness 😤) I had fun bringing some of my wildest drums to the Square too — I paired my favorite trio of @anfdrumco raw brass snares with a prototype bass drum from now-defunct Zickos Corporation, a massive floor tom from the also-defunct North Drums, and a full set of cymbals from @istanbulagop Santi is rocking keyboards from @yamahausa and @nordkeyboards, and Yuck is rocking an absolutely gorgeous @fender P-Bass ______ Personnel: Santiago LaRochelle, keyboards Ian "Yuck" Lindsay, bass Machado Mijiga, drums ______ Recorded, mixed, and mastered on June 30th, 2026 by Machado Mijiga Video shot and edited by Machado Mijiga ______ Setlist: 00:00 — "Arrival" (Alley-Oop) 4:57 — "Fall" (Wayne Shorter) 12:41 — "Electric Relaxation" (A Tribe Called Quest 15:41 — "Matter Of Fact" (Alley-Oop) 22:38 — "Walking & Talking (Alley-Oop) 25:21 — "Little B's Poem" (Bobby Hutcherson) 27:36 — "Curly Martin" (Terrace Martin) 33:38 — "Escalade" (Alley-Oop) 39:20 — "Find A Way" (A Tribe Called Quest) 42:02 — "The Way It Ain't" (Alley-Oop) 44:38 — "Think Of One" (Thelonious Monk) 46:23 — "Stakes Is High" (De La Soul) 48:03 — "Reaches" (Alley-Oop)
