Horoya Band National - Foudou

Originally known as Milo Jazz, the Horoya Band de Kankan were natonalised in 1973 by the Guinean government. The chef d'orchestre Métoura "Papa paya paya" Traoré is on tenor sax. My most recent information is that he is still alive, and lives in Dakar. Lanciné Kanté is on vocals and Lansana Condé on lead guitar. The conga player, Lamine Camara, is now the chef d'orchestre, but as of early 2013 the orchestra had no instruments and were not performing.
