When I moved to Singapore, I wasn't supposed to stay. I had just finished my Master's degree in Switzerland, my boyfriend had received a job opportunity in Singapore, and the plan was simple: spend some time abroad, gain some experience, then go back to Zurich and continue the life we had already planned. But Singapore had other plans.
