Breakfast with Tao Ruspoli
Tao Ruspoli is an Italian-American documentary filmmaker and photographer whose father, Alessandro Ruspoli, was an actor and the 9th Prince of Cerveteri, Italy. Tao’s films have screened at Slamdance Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival and more. Tao is a successful musician specializing in flamenco guitar, he also founded the Los Angeles Filmmakers Cooperative (LAFCO). Tao lives in Joshua Tree and founded the Bombay Beach Biennale, a three-day ‘fully emmersive art movement’ situated on the shores of the Salton Sea. His most recent film Monogamish (2017) explores the nuances of monogamy, and how certain modern couples identify more as ‘monogamish’. Gracie and Jess visit Tao at his family’s castle in Vignanello, Italy. The Ruspoli family were gifted the castle in roughly 1531. Gracie’s ghost hunting skills are put to the test as she explores its corridors and dungeon and converses with the generations of Ruspoli portraits. ----- Host: Tao Ruspoli Director: Gracie Otto Producers: Gracie Otto and Craig Deeker Camera 1: Gracie Otto Camera 2: Jess Carrera Post Production: The Gingerbread Man Editor: Walter Racliffe Editor: Lucy Edmont Sound Design: Lawrence Horne Title Design: Stephanie Huxley
