5 Best Hikes in Morocco 🇲🇦

Hiking in Morocco, the hiker's paradise of Africa. In order to see its diverse nature, from the shores of the North Atlantic Ocean to the Sahara desert, from canyons, hidden deep in the Atlas Mountains, to peaks of the Anti Atlas mountains. I selected 5 hiking trails, each best in its own category, and went on road trip that took me one week. The hikes were picked so that I would not require guides, so it was a pure solo hiking experience. The only people I met were Berbers who are indigenous to the Maghreb region of North Africa including Morocco. They were very kind and hospitable, I really enjoyed their company. As for the Sahara trekking — I started my hike from Kasbah Erg Chebbi, which is a remote and isolated hotel that sits right next to the sea of dunes. From it, you can clearly see the highest 'peak' which, as locals told me, is with its more than 165m the tallest one in Erg Chebbi. It was a magical experience to walk further than any other footsteps and being alone on top of this sandy wonderland. In general, Morocco is a great place to travel to for nature lovers.
