Cycling the New River Trail
The New River Trail in Virginia is a 57 mile long rail-trail that follows the New River. Start in either Fries or Galax and follow the river down stream, slowly dropping in elevation. Th trail passes through two tunnels and goes over several high trestles on it's way to Pulaski. Due to trail damage downstream, I decided to stop at Draper, just a few miles short of the terminus. The weather was just about perfect and the fall colors were on display making for an especially beautiful ride. Thanks for coming along.
