109 days of van life: We are waiting for the decision on our visa application to travel to Kazakhstan and decide to bridge the time with our van at least in a beautiful environment. We initially skipped Mestia in the Greater Caucasus due to the bad weather on our trip through Georgia. Now it is our destination to go. Hike with us on steep paths and over lush flower meadows to the snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus. Stroll with us through the old town center of Mestia to the characteristic defense towers of the Svaneti region. And visit with us the only cinema in Mestia that shows the award-winning film "Dede" daily, in which the young Dina rebels against the centuries-old traditions of a patriarchal society. We actually get the long-awaited email from the Visa Center at the end of the week. Watch the video to find out what's next for us.
