Trains at Church Fenton - 18/12/2024

Filmed on 18/11/2024. Moving onwards to the second of the third station of the day which is another trainspotter paradise station in North Yorkshire which is a massive fan for many for diverts, trains at speed and even train tones. This is Church Fenton (Season 11 Episode 29) Comparing this to the last session we have had here, Church Fenton on this occasion is a much busier station with more variety speeding through. One of the key changes is for Transpennine Express which since the December timetable changes has introduced more trains between York and Manchester. These include: Scarborough to Manchester Victoria York to Manchester Piccadilly Transpennine Express can now fully use of their class 185 fleet on all their routes. The new hourly York to Manchester Piccadilly stopper services runs via the diversionary route of Castleford and Wakefield Kirkgate which means Leeds is by passed.
