Host a Webinar with Zoom and Great Sound Quality | URC USB 3.0 Audio Interfaces

A web conference or webinar can be spoiled when the audio quality is not great. In this video, Dom Sigalas shows you how to create the right audio setup for a Zoom web conference with perfect sound. The video looks at everything you need, including a desktop or laptop computer, microphone, audio interface (in this case a Steinberg UR22C) and headphones. Headphones are recommended for streaming to avoid feedback loops, unpleasant echoes and to enjoy a clean sound. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your audio interface installed, connect your equipment and, if using a condenser microphone like the Steinberg ST-M01, activate phantom power. Dom also looks at using a lavalier microphone and uses the DSPmixFX app and front panel controls to set up gain level, choice of mono or stereo for the microphone and the blend between the interface inputs and the audio from your computer, for example a DAW or other app. You need to activate the Loop Back button, necessary for streaming online, and with DSPmixFX you can also activate a DSP-powered morphing channel strip to set up effects like compression, EQ setting and reverb. Finally, Dom then shows you how to configure the settings in Zoom to make sure participants in the webinar or web conference enjoy the benefits of your great sound.
