The world was cruel, it always had been, from the moment he was born until the moment he died; he had always been cruel to him, and he could never do anything to try to change that, he could only endure it in silence in a vague attempt to move forward. But what for? What was the point of all that effort if in the end he ended up dying at the hand of the one who was once his best friend? What was the point of fighting so hard to survive if, in the end, his life was extinguished by one of the people he trusted most? He had the answer for that: Nothing. It was all for nothing. Over time, he began to forget fragments of his life, from the faces of the people he once knew to their names; little by little, he completely forgot who he once was, forgetting the reason for his struggles and the cause of all his suffering.
