Hiss v1.00: The Soothe Killer?

Sorry for the clickbait. Hiss is a spectral processor built for a very specific problem: harsh resonances that are difficult to remove without affecting everything around them. It started with a mastering job where the vocal S sounds were too sharp. I tried de-essers, dynamic EQs, de-harshers, Gullfoss, Soothe, TEOTE, and a lot of other tools. None of them did exactly what I wanted. I did not want to remove the whole S sound. I wanted to reduce the worst resonant peaks inside it while keeping the noisy, airy part intact. That became Hiss. Hiss separates the selected frequency area into Tonal, Noise, and Rest components. This lets you control resonances and noise independently, making de-essing and de-harshing much more precise and transparent. It can find between 1 and 20 resonances, works from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and can be used for vocals, cymbals, guitars, synths, low-mid ringing, and anything else where a narrow problem needs a narrow solution.
