Both of us and our husbands underwent kidney transplant surgeries just a week apart from each other in March of 2018. It has been two and a half years since our surgery and we are all smiles and laughs together today; and it is all because of the great support from our doctors and their staffs as well as the support from our loving families. As married couples, we both respectively have been through a lot before finally being on the surgery tables. There were tough final decisions, understanding from each of our families, life planning, and discussing everything from love and even death. Fortunately, we trusted our doctors completely. However, we were still terrified with countless concerns, such as, "What if my partner gets sick because I took his/her kidney?", or "What if it doesn't work and I make my husband's/wife's kidney go to waste?" and, "What if both of us get weaker because of the transplant?" We researched relentlessly for people who has experienced what we were about to undergo. We wanted to know if a recovered person could have a positive quality of life after surgery. But it was very difficult to find such information that was available to us. Because of that, we have decided to start this channel, Jinzo Seikatsu Channel, so that we can share our experiences which weren't available two years ago. Our goal is to be as informative as possible discussing the lives of a kidney donor and a kidney recipient, living with kidney disease, and many other related topics. We believe that the more stories that you, the viewer, can witness from actual patients, the better that you will understand the significance and scale of having a transplant. We would love to show you the interviews we have had with other donors, recipients, doctors and staffs in the field. And we hope this channel can be a tool to where we can all talk about the medical field of transplant surgeries, kidney diseases, and much more.
