His Grip

This is the musical heartbeat of Lesson 11 "The Victory of Grace". "His Grip" is a song about the staggering mercy of God. It’s for anyone who feels like they’ve wandered too far, messed up too many times, or burned too many bridges. If He saves Israel—the stubborn, the fractured, the wandering—He saves all. Grace is the river, not something you’ve won. His hold is what saves you. LYRICS: [Verse 1] Dust on the altar Smoke in the sky Forty days later Bowing to lies Kings fell to ashes Prophets cried out But the Father kept walking Through every drought [Pre-Chorus] He doesn't cancel the line He just bends down to the broken Blindness for a season Mercy for all time [Chorus] Oh He gave them to the wandering dark Just to lead every soul to the mercy spark If He saves the stubborn He'll save every one Grace is the river, not something you've won From the root of the promise, the True and Elect His grip never falters He's not finished yet [Verse 2] Branches were broken Scattered and bare Wild ones were grafted Into the care The fire of the refiner Burns to restore Not to destroy you But to show you what's more [Pre-Chorus] Not by your ladder Not by your name Just the wound of the Saviour Who carries your shame [Chorus] Oh He gave them to the wandering dark Just to lead every soul to the mercy spark If He saves the stubborn He'll save every one Grace is the river, not something you've won From the root of the promise, the True and Elect His grip never falters He's not finished yet [Bridge] (guitar and cello only — strip back) Fog on the ground Timber and stone A cable drops heavy You're not alone You don't have to steady Your shaking hand Just reach for the line Trust the command (banjo rolls in, drums build) Not by your merit Not by your climb Just the weight of His mercy Outrunning your time [Chorus] Oh He gave them to the wandering dark Just to lead every soul to the mercy spark If He saves the stubborn He'll save every one Grace is the river, not something you've won From the root of the promise, the True and Elect His grip never falters He's not finished yet [Outro] (full band fades to fingerpicked guitar and cello) Your past isn't prison Your present's not fate The covenant love Is wide open, just wait If He saves Israel He saves every one The victory is finished The victory is won His hold Is what saves you 🎧 Listen to the full sermon:    • If God Saves Israel, He Saves All   🔔 Subscribe ‪@BillyTBushBibleWisdom‬ for more original music and messages on restorative grace.
