And on a weekend we set off to Kadamakkudy in his car. On our way, we crossed several waterbodies but two of them were on a ferry. The highlight of our food exploration that day was obviously the journey - a drive through the lush green nature with coconut groves, lakes, fish farms, and more. The toddy shop is not that easy to access, but the location and the ambiance around the toddy shop are simply spectacular. However, I would suggest serious improvements in the cleanliness and ventilation system in the toddy shop. There is not even a fan and the ventilation is not impressive that the customers visiting this place would suffer the humidity. When it comes to the taste of Kadamakudy Kallu Shaappu, I loved the prawns masala and fish curry with pot tamarind.
