Te Awaroa Grind Failure to Triumph — #10 Map Ranking React (CotW 2026) | Ep 2

Good ole Te Awaroa... the map of 40% of my trophies and too many play hours to admit! Affectionately known as "THE Grind" map in theHunter: Call of the Wild — was it rightfully placed at #10 out of 18 reserves in my full 2026 Map Ranking video? In this “Ranking React!” second episode, I return to New Zealand for a full gameplay run! We revisit classic locations and explain why this is SUCH a great destination for the fabled Red Deer and Fallow Deer Great One grinds. I share the story of my Great One Fallow Deer 'Mocha', my 50 Red Deer Diamonds with NO Great One (sigh...), explore the scenery at several drink zone lakes, and highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of Te Awaroa in 2026: a great place to learn and level up, try your hand at grinding, but ultimately not be blown away by the scenery or the semi-limited species list. We also visit the Trophy Lodge for a full look at my Red Deer and Fallow Deer trophies, to show how this New Zealand map has blessed me with trophies galore... and why I'm also peacefully retired from this map, too :) Watch my full 18‑map ranking video to see where every reserve landed — including some intriguing placements.
