20. Sailing Hvar and the Pakleni Islands | Sail Croatia | sailing around the world

This week we leave Scedro and sail towards the Pakleni Islands in Croatia, where we enjoy a peaceful and beautiful anchorage before heading to the buzzing Hvar town on the island of Hvar. We are able to anchor just outside the town centre and re-stock Kawai with water, diesel and food before we get to enjoy our time in Hvar town. We visit the Spanish Castle, soak up the buzzing atmosphere and eat some pizza. After spending a night in the Hvar anchorage we shelter from some strong winds in a calm anchorage just outside the main town. The winds improve and it's time to leave and we sail to the island of Brac to pick up Jase's parents. About us: Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse 445 sailing boat, Kawai. We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Canary Islands and then across the Atlantic Ocean.
