Following the Spanish Route 66 - The Via de la Plata

We are Phil and Darrelle and we love travelling in our converted Citroen Relay campervan, Claude. Join us on our travels! Well here we are again, with another vlog of our campervan travels. Claude has taken us from Portugal into Spain at Badajoz, and onto the Via de la Plata - the Silver Road. This route reaches from Seville in the south all the way to Gijon in Cantabria. A route that is 800km long. The route is a Roman road, and along the way you can expect to find quite a lot of Roman towns, and villages. We saw very few UK vans on our travels along the route, so that certainly reinforces our desire to follow the path less followed. It has been a rewarding experience, and we have really enjoyed our Silver Road journey so far. We joined part way along at Merida and will follow it to Zamora, join is next time as we visit the city of Salamanca.
