C A M I N A N T E - Contemporary Violin & Dance Performance

The music piece “La lontananza nostalgica utopica futura” by Luigi Nono, known for the walk of the violinist between the music stands was the base of this performance, inviting movement and invoking space in the world of contemporary violin. To interpret this work from a new perspective, dance was chosen as a partner of music to join the voyage of sound. Spurred by the quote of Luigi Nono “Caminantes, no hay caminos, hay que caminar," (Wayfarer, there are no paths, yet you must walk), the interpretation of the 6 parts of this fragmented piece is thought of as a journey of self-reflection where every presence evolves into the acceptance of what they are : un caminante ( a wanderer).
