The Giants escaped Tampa Bay with a two to one win, with Rafael Devers providing all the offense the Giants would need with a ninth inning home run and two RBI to earn Player of the Game honors. It was a classic low scoring pitchers' duel for most of the game before Devers delivered the decisive blow late. Trevor McDonald picked up the win with one and a third scoreless innings of relief and Ryan Walker closed it out for the save. Bryan Baker took the loss for the Rays after a rough two thirds of an inning.
