Crumlin Buses | May 2025

A video showing buses in Crumlin (south-west Dublin), recorded in May 2025. Crumlin is a suburb in south-west Dublin. It is bordered by Drimnagh to the north, Kimmage (   • Kimmage Buses | July 2023  ) to the east, Perrystown to the south, and Walkinstown to the west. It has been three years since the last visit (   • Crumlin Buses | April 2022  ) and there have been a few changes to the bus network since then. Bus Connects passed through the area in November 2023. Orbital routes 17 and 18 were partially replaced by new orbital route S4, operated by Go-Ahead Ireland. This maintained connections with Liffey Valley, Ballyfermot, Terenure and UCD Belfield. However, direct connections were lost to Rialto, Dundrum, Blackrock and Sandymount. Connections were also lost between parts of Kimmage and Crumlin, however this was resolved by rerouting Dublin Bus routes 83 and 83A to Kimmage via Crumlin Village. In terms of vehicles, one of the big changes in the last three years has been the introduction of the Wrights Electroliner within the Dublin Bus fleet. These appear on routes 122, 123 and 150 in the Crumlin area. Not only that, but the examples on route 150 are operated by Summerhill Garage which took over the route from Ringsend Garage in August 2024. The Transport for Ireland (TFI) livery has also completed its roll-out across most of the fleet. All the buses in this video are in TFI yellow/green. This video starts near the Ashleaf Shopping Centre, before progressing through Crumlin Village and ending up on the Crumlin Road near the Children's Hospital.
