The avenue is a mixed type of environment. It has residential parts, but is mostly known for it's commercial and restaurant district. As we make our way past Steinway Street, we will see the busiest streets of 30th Avenue. This part of 30th Avenue is the place to go for drinks and food, as well as some shopping. Along the way we will pass some of the popular places to eat such as The Brewery Bar and Kitchen, Dillinger's Pub and Grill, Blackbirds Bar and Restaurant, Gaudio's Pizza, The Wolfhound, The Shady Lady, The Burger Club, and more. Other areas of interest along this walk will be when we make a stop at St. Joseph's Church on 44th Street, and a stop at Athens Square Park to look at the statues and the architecture in the park. We will pass by 31st Street and the overhead train tracks of the MTA's N Line. When we get to the end of the walk we will make a couple of little detours to look at some wall art and graffiti located around the Main Street area. Come tag along while I walk around the streets of Astoria Queens on 30th Avenue. The day is bright with a chill in the air that makes it feel like late Fall.
