Real Champions Podcast: Season 02, Episode 09: Parts work and Psychodrama

In this episode Heather discusses her experience as the "golden phoenix" in a psychodrama. She also explains Internal Family Systems parts work and how that can be used with psychodrama. Heather explains some of the elements of psychodrama and how they were incorporated into the drama that she helped to enact while sharing how acting as the "golden phoenix" brought out her own inner child and fear of being seen. She juxtaposes her experience against the critic in this psychodrama as both Heather and the critic played their respective opposites. The Real Champions Podcast is a simple conversation between two friends who both happen to be named Champion. Both friends work in the mental health and substance use disorder field. They discuss what it is like to be a champion and the mental health struggles they both face whether it be in their own lives or in the lives of those they are trying to help.
