COMPLETE Guide to Bedugul's top attractions!

We did ALL the top attractions in Bedugul so we could find out whether the area is worth visiting for longer than a day trip! We went to the Traditional Market, the Bali Botanic Gardens, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, the Blooms Garden, and we ate a bunch of strawberries (you know, to see if they were any good...). Consider this the ultimate travel guide to Bedugul, Bali! FILMED IN APRIL, 2022 We visit Bedugul's Traditional Market in mid-morning, only to find it pretty empty. I guess the tourists weren't back yet! Many stall owners called out to us to get our attention, and we did stop at one lady's stand. She was AMAZING - very charming, and knew enough English to tell us what we were eating. And we ate a lot! She kept handing us fruit to try - things we had never even seen before! Then we spend an entire afternoon filming for this vlog at the Bali Botanic Gardens. We have a special treat, because although the Begonia Conservatory was completely closed when we were there, an incredibly helpful gardener led us in the back and gave us the ok to visit it! Although not many Begonias were blooming, it was still amazing since this is the largest Begonia collection IN THE WORLD. We also visit a beautiful bamboo forest (where I drop a few bamboo facts), and the orchid garden (which unfortunately was closed). In between all the beautiful areas, we also sneak in a mystery ice cream snack (still wondering what a mung bean is). If you visit Bedugul, you HAVE to try the local strawberries. The strawberry juice is very affordable and extremely delicious. I don't know if we were just lucky and the strawberries were all being harvested when we visited? They were just as good as in Minnesota. Our hotel was right across the road from Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. This is probably the best known attraction in Bedugul, and we visited it with NO OTHER PEOPLE there. It was incredible! In its serene silence, we were able to feel the calm energy of the temple. Best time to visit! Our final attraction was the Blooms Garden, where we paid a little extra to be able to fly the drone around! We shared Blooms Garden entirely with locals. All the flowers blooming were pretty, and they had so many photographic spots created - including...the Marina Bay Sands?! What the...? Since we did not pay $20 for a beverage at the top of Marina Bay Sands, we had one here instead! LOL After spending time filming the park (we had so much fun!), we went on an ATV tour. The cost for this is separate and on top of the entry fee to the Blooms Garden. We thought it would just circle the park (we had no idea what to expect), but we ended up being gone for 30 - 45 minutes. It was WAY more adventurous than we anticipated, and highly recommended.
