Merlin ASMR | Wizard's Apprentice Roleplay (Whispered Magic Spells & Relaxing Incantations)

I’m surprised I haven’t done more Knights of the Round Table or Camelot adjacent content, but fortunately a recent playthrough of ‘Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon’ (it had a strong and engaging start, but somewhat run out of steam by the third act) inspired me to do an Arthurian Roleplay of the granddaddy of the Goetia, the danklord of the Druids, the earl of the esoteric – okay, it’s just a Merlin ASMR roleplay. In this, what is basically a ‘wizard training class ASMR’, Merlin will – in his own mercurial way – attempt to persuade you to become his apprentice, following the recent departure of a king of some renown who had a Welsh name. There’s hushed tones and hurried whispers as he desperately tries to persuade you it’s a good idea… all the while asking you for increasingly large sums of gold. Hmm. But, he’ll teach you the rudiments of spellcasting, alchemy, and even how to summon cats! I tried to keep the grim dark aesthetic of the game that inspired it, but wherever possible have attempted to mimic the performance of Nicol Williamson in the 1981 classic ‘Excalibur’ as well as include some of the more acid elements therein.
