Last week we looked at what is happening around us. This week we turn the lens inward. Because awareness without action keeps us paralyzed. And we have too much to build to stay stuck. We were taught that patriotism and proximity to power were the same thing. We were taught to follow charismatic leaders without asking where they were actually leading us. The United States is one of the most deeply nationalist countries in the world. Pledging allegiance to a flag. Patriotic songs that function as anthems of conformity. A flag used as both symbol and weapon. A charismatic leader held up as a singular source of truth. These are not just cultural quirks. These are the hallmarks of cult dynamics. Critical thinking and science are the way out. Not because they replace faith... but because they sharpen it. A God who is real does not fear your questions. A faith that is true does not require you to stop thinking. We have God inside of us. We do not need anyone else to interpret that relationship for us.
