Unboxing Pioneer Elite SC 97 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos DTS X surround sound receiver part 1

The war begins... I will be doing a full complete comparison of Marantz and their Flagship models of AV receivers and audio equipment to the Pioneer Flagship models of audio equipment specifically concerning receivers. I will be taking a look at the audio and video processing of each device the power output sound characteristics and other properties of each device. This is simply part one of the unboxing process and checking over the Pioneer Elite SC 97. Receiver models quite often change every 6 to 8 months, Wilde Pioneer unfortunately no longer offers the SC lineup that they did their models have changed to an sc lx line, using a much smaller remote control and several things that differentiate the two models. However one can often save money on buying a model that has been discontinued as opposed to a just released model. We are simply unboxing a brand new Pioneer Elite SC 97 AV surround sound receiver. It as 9.2 channels of amplification 11.2 channels of pre out allowing you to easily configure a power amplifier powering several different channels . It is capable of decoding every form of surround sound including Dolby Atmos and DTS X. It is rated at 140 Watts root mean squared at 8 ohms. This receiver does weigh 38 pounds unboxed, has the newer form of pioneers front faceplate going from a glossy black finish to a brushed aluminum front faceplate matching several other AV electronic equipment. This receiver in my opinion has proven to be quite an effective piece of equipment utilized with surround sound in all aspects. It does highly compete with other even higher costing AV receivers.
