River Erewash through Langley Mill

River Erewash through Langley Mill and Langley. Water quality is fairly good, lots of small chub and gudgeon. One or two rat holes , not sure if they are water voles or rattus . Unfortunately lots of dumped rubbish , tyres , bus stop signs, traffic cones etc .Further down river near Langley sewage plant evidence of sewage overflow with sanitary detritus aplenty. Deep spots full of sediment which when you wade through throws up lots of bubbles (methane gas ?) Lot more weed at this end.
