Two sets of road wheels, one average-level power output, one bike, one rider, and one route. Carbon vs. aluminum wheels: which is faster? We completed two rides, one on carbon road wheels and one on aluminum road wheels. We tried to maintain the same power output and the same riding position; the only difference was the wheels. Our experiment involved: Sergey Badyak, a triathlon coach, a Bianchi Aria bike, Vision Team 35 wheels, and ZAAK B55 wheels. ZAAK is a Belgian brand that produces carbon bicycle wheels.
