‘Prodip’ or diya and ‘Bhaars’ or pots, made out of clay, are being used in Bengal since ancient times. The makers of these items are known as ‘Kumor’ in bengali. Clay items are integral to Bengal’s culture. These items are much more eco-friendly, than plastic items, and we should increase our usage of these items. In this video, we try to portray the manufacturing process and the amount of skill & hard work, that goes into making these clay items.
