Following the relocation in 1969 of Les Halles de Paris, from the heart of the capital, in the 1st arrondissement, to the suburb of Rungis (Val-de-Marne), neighborhood residents, former shopkeepers, vendors, and "strong members of Les Halles" share nostalgia for this bygone era when, due to its location in the center of Paris, there was a genuine atmosphere and camaraderie among the residents of Les Halles. Commentary on actual and archival footage, interviews, testimonials, and explanations of what will be built in place of the old Halles, along with footage of public works, workers on the construction site of the new Halles, and footage of the neighborhood.
