Look up into the sky with a naked eye at night, and the desire to be there in one of the infinitely numerous untouched worlds is overwhelming. Each of the three movements of this vibraphone solo expresses a different stage of excitement for the universe. A simple idea is evolved and expanded upon throughout the piece. The first movement is explorative, the second adventurous, and the final, unleashing and resolving. The very end ties back into the initial emotion. Written for 4-mallets. Versions for both 3 & 4-Octave Vibraphone, in F and C respectively are included. Watch some live recordings!
