LIVE: ACR | v0.5 MP - Multi Class Lobby | Lancia Stratos - Alsace - Obersteigen | Onboard

A quick Assetto Corsa Rally v0.5 multiplayer session after work and before private life kicked in. This time I joined a Multi Class Lobby at Obersteigen in Alsace, taking the legendary Lancia Stratos into battle against much more modern rally machinery. I completed two runs, and the first one was a perfect example of what happens when ambition becomes bigger than car control. 😄 I was so eager to beat the modern cars that I simply overdrove the little Stratos. I pushed too hard, went wide, and ended up among the spectators. Somehow I still completed the run, but the mistake left me down in P11. For the second attempt, I changed my approach completely. Instead of focusing on the modern cars, I concentrated on the road, the other driver in my class, and most importantly in my own inputs. The Stratos has such a short wheelbase that every steering, throttle, and braking input needs to be fine and controlled. Get too aggressive and this little RWD beast will immediately punish you with snap oversteer. With a calmer and more precise approach, everything started to click. The second run was much cleaner, much more controlled, and fast enough to claim P3 overall in the Multi Class Lobby. A podium for the granddaddy of them all the legendary Lancia Stratos. 🥉🇮🇹 🏆 Session Summary • Game: Assetto Corsa Rally v0.5 • Mode: Multiplayer - Multi Class Lobby • Car: Lancia Stratos • Stage: Obersteigen - Alsace • Run 1: P11 after overdrawing the car and going into the spectators • Run 2: Much more controlled and focused drive • 🥉 P3 Overall in Run 2 • Podium against modern rally machinery Conclusion: The first run reminded me that you can't bully the Lancia Stratos into going faster. The second proved that once you respect its short wheelbase, control your inputs, and work with the car instead of fighting it, this rally legend can still embarrass much younger machinery.
