How do they make 1.5V Li-ion AA Batteries? [XTAR]

So they have to do a bit of conversion and Alkaline cell mimicking in order to turn it into a 1.5V cell. The way this is done is a converter inside but they also added a 5V charging system so that it can be recharged quickly. Internally, it even has a green led that blinks a few times when the battery is low. The output voltage is lowered when it is less than 20% as well. The advantage of these Li-ion cells over NiMH is that they have slightly higher capacity and no memory effect.
