Okay muggles, listen up! If you’re a Potterhead, there are many magical York Harry Potter locations to visit in the city. Not only is the medieval Shambles supposedly an inspiration for Diagon Alley in the books, but they also filmed some scenes out of the movie here too. The Shambles is filled with famous stores like The Shop That Must Not Be Named which is filled with Harry Potter shops. You can also visit The Potions Cauldron to sip on their TikTok sensation the Starcrossed Butterscotch Beer or attend their Potion's Academy. Plus, there are plenty of immersive experiences like Hole in Wand who kindly invited me to play. You can really feel like you’ve hopped through Platform 9 ¾ to ride the Hogwarts Express and rocked up to Diagon Alley to park your broom and go wand shopping.
