The Pharisee and The Tax Collector
In Luke 18:9–14, Jesus tells a powerful parable about a Pharisee and a tax collector—two men with very different prayers and very different hearts. One trusted in his own righteousness, while the other simply asked for mercy. This message explores the difference between pride and humility, and why outwardly “doing everything right” can still lead us away from God if our hearts are focused on ourselves instead of His grace. Following Jesus isn’t about proving how good you are—it’s about recognizing how much you need God and living in humble gratitude for His grace.
