Directed by Dean Devlin and shot by David Connell, ACS, Bad Samaritan is a terrifying thriller that follows two thieves who uncover more than what they bargained for when breaking into a house they thought would be an easy score. After making a shocking discovery, they must choose to run and hide, or face the killer whose dark secrets they have exposed. Operating with a tight budget, it was critical that the Bad Samaritan crew use a camera that could easily adapt to any shooting scenario. Director Dean Devlin credits the WEAPON 8K S35's versatility and reliable construction with helping the crew get the most of out every day on set. The camera's performance during cold conditions, ability to extend the production’s time on set each day, as well as its streamlined post production process helped them achieve large-budget results using non-studio financing.
