The Train Journey Sounds series continues after a long gap. This is a full journey compilation from Shoranur to Nilambur, shot in August 2022 from right behind a beautiful Golden Rock WDG3A in Tondiarpet shed livery. This is one of the most beautiful railway sections in India, with the 66km branch line passing through lush teak forests and picturesque rivers before ending up at Nilambur, at the foot of the mighty Western Ghats. . This line doesn't look so beautiful anymore, and is in the process of losing thousands of teak and other trees to 'green' electrification. The ALCOs have given way to EMDs almost full-time now. The near future will see a much less beautiful line and the trains in all probability will be replaced by MEMUs. Glad I was able to make one final journey and record it to share here.
