Osvaldo Fresedo - 'La cachila' 1927

This is Fresedo's 1927 recording of Eduardo Arolas's tango 'La cachila' ('The pipit'). Fresedo recorded this again in 1931. This magnificent tango has both rhythm and melody, and it's no surprise that it was also later recorded by Carlos Di Sarli (twice). It was also recorded by Pugliese (again twice), the Troilo-Grela cuartet, and Ciriaco Ortiz (with his orchestra Los Provincianos). You will sometimes see this tango spelt as 'La cachirla'; 'La cachila' is the more usual spelling today.
