Baños de Montemayor (2ª parte)

One of the attractions of Baños de Montemayor is its thermal spa. The building, which is several centuries old, hides beneath its floor the greatest treasure of Baños: the spring. In the ancient underground chambers, visitors can see the unique source of the water and explore the thermal museum. Defining the two most important periods—Roman and Medieval—the museum tells the story of the spring's use and evolution over time since its discovery. Furthermore, since the mid-20th century, Baños de Montemayor has been known for its basketry industry, using wicker and chestnut, which is still sold today in the few remaining shops in the town. Other tourist attractions in Baños de Montemayor include the flour mill and the train station.
