Camping Trip at Mon Doi Inthanon Doi Inthanon National Park Ban Luang Subdistrict, Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province October 12-13, 2025 This trip was a long one from Chiang Rai to Doi Inthanon. I have to say it was a long drive, so much so that my butt hurt. First, I want to let you know that if you plan to camp, you must pay the national park entrance fee, along with your vehicle. After paying, you'll receive a pass. I recommend carrying it with you to the highest point, because there will be another ticket checkpoint (don't forget it!). For those planning to camp by the water at Chonlathar View, I recommend booking early in the morning, as it fills up quickly. Beautiful, scenic spots by the water fill up early, and advance reservations are not available. You must arrive and find your own camping spot (apart from the lodges). The day I went, it was full. By the time I arrived, it was almost evening, so there were no nice spots to pitch. So, I had to find another camping spot, of which there are only a few. Electricity: There are lights around the campsite. Charging Points: There are charging points available. Food and Drinks: Dry food, drinks, ice, charcoal, and a stove are provided. Coffee: You must bring your own. Points of Interest: This is considered the highest tent site in the area. In the center, you can see the beautiful lights from the flower beds. Setting up a tent near a waterfall and enjoying the view of both waterfalls nearby. This is a really interesting spot and a must-visit.
