Saucony Guide 17 Preview | Un cambio de estilo y concepto que puede ser la clave para esta zapatilla
https://www.roadrunningreview.com/es/... Saucony has decided to surprise everyone with the redesign of its two flagship training models. After several versions, it seems that, finally, the Guide and Ride are going their separate ways. Not long ago, we showed you all the new features of the Ride 17 in its corresponding preview, and now we're doing the same with its supportive sibling, the Guide 17. Maximalism has definitely taken over this shoe. Have you seen those massive profiles? The Guide increases its cushioning like never before and significantly widens its platform. It seems that stability is closely linked to the width of the shoe, and the new Guide 17 is a clear example of this. The "center path technology" focuses entirely on comfort and foot protection. A wide, stable platform, walls that rise along the side of the midsole, and PwrRun cushioning to absorb the entire stride cycle and keep you centered. Through these high profiles, but above all through the shape of its midsole, the Guide 17 aims to offer optimal stability for any runner. So much so that it can no longer be said that the Guide is only for pronators. The Guide 17 eliminates any extra elements in the arch area to offer an unprecedented running experience. Selfishly, we have to admit that we like the idea and think it's smart. Opening the doors to everyone and not "singling out" the shoe to a specific type of runner will open the door to countless runners who were hesitant about the classic plastic piece that Saucony used to add to the Guide's midsole. By the way, the Guide 17 has reduced its drop to 6 millimeters and retained PwrRun as the main midsole material, adding an extra millimeter of PwrRun+ to the bottom of the insole for added comfort. But the new Guide 17 features a complete overhaul. The transformation isn't limited to the midsole. As you'll see, the upper and outsole have also been redesigned. The outsole, as we've already mentioned, is significantly larger. What has been significantly reduced is the amount of rubber used. It seems Saucony has aimed to offer a more responsive and comfortable ride through the exposed PwrRun and ensure a minimum level of durability by using rubber in very specific areas (toe and heel). Meanwhile, the upper features an engineered mesh that's truly open in the forefoot to ensure breathability, and a midfoot reinforced with a kind of 3D heat-sealed mini-overlay that will surely help keep the foot in place and reinforce lateral support. The heel has a fairly extended pull tab, sufficiently protected with padding to eliminate any friction and ensure a proper fit. RUNNER TYPE: Saucony has decided to embrace the current trend, and the Guide 17 is its first example. Cushioning and maximalist profiles are a priority for many runners, and Saucony has responded to the demand. The Guide 17 is called Guide, but it could have a completely new name. The truth is, there's no trace left of previous Guide models… This model will now be useful for both neutral and non-neutral runners. The wide base and the sidewalls that rise asymmetrically up the midsole will help stabilize the stride and guide the entire transition. DISTANCE: A completely new option from the American brand designed to tackle all kinds of distances, although it will surely perform best in both middle and long distances. Its low weight could be a significant advantage when considering similar options on the market, such as the Hoka Clifton or even the Brooks Ghost Max. -------------------------------- YouTube: / @roadrunningreview Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/roadrunningr...
