To avoid shorting out the battery if you accidentally touch the car with different tools, disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. 3. Adjust the steering wheel toward you and then lift it up. 4. Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to access the holes in the back, then insert a flat-head screwdriver and pull up until the airbag releases from the metal clip. Here is the hole with the metal clip where you need to insert the screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver just above the metal clip indicated by the red arrow. 5. Do the same with the other metal clip. This is exactly what I did: I inserted the screwdriver over that metal clip and lifted it up. I did the same with the other metal clip. 6. Remove the airbag from the steering wheel and disconnect the cables. To remove that yellow harness, simply pry off the white part with a flat-head screwdriver. Then you can remove the harness. There's another harness that needs to be removed. There are some wires in the airbag that you need to remove if you want.
