Dualtron Thunder Speed Limit

Ever since I was a kid, I always liked to tinker with my toys - taking them apart, putting them back together just so I can understand the mechanics of how it works. I recently purchased a Dualtron Thunder here in the US. One thing about the Thunder was that it was limited to a maximum speed of 15 mph (or about 29 km/hr). So, being the inquisitive person I am, I was curious to see what part of the scooter did just that. Disclaimer: This video is not meant to provide mechanical advice or instructions. Always refer to your user manual for that. This video simply shows what I discovered on my Thunder that caused it to limit the speed to 15 mph (29 km/hr). DO NOT TRY TO REPLICATE THIS. DOING SO IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. After this video, I re-connected the speed-limiting wires and have limited the max speed back to 15 mph. Tampering with the speed limiting wire is discouraged and may be unlawful. Scooter slowly and safely everyone!
