War Robots Guide on how to become a better player. These are 10 tips which I have picked up over the past 2+ years of playing War Robots. With each tip I also demonstrate how to use your terrain to your advantage (as an example) so that you get the upper-hand in your fights. Below I have also included my tips in written form so that those who don’t speak English can translate them in their own language - WR 10 TIPS ON HOW TO BECOME A BETTER PLAYER #1: Beacons, beacons, beacons! [0:10] In most games, the team which captures the most beacons wins. Make sure to always capture beacons whenever possible. #2 Understand the beacon bar [0:40] Most newer players aren’t aware of the beacon bar and wonder why they lose. If you look at the game timer, there is a red and blue beacon bar. Your goal as a team, is to capture and hold more beacons than the other team. The more beacons your team holds, the quicker the other team’s beacon bar depletes. If the other team has no beacon bar, your team will win. #3 Team work [1:20] Team work is a very important aspect of this game. If your teammates need help, try your best to help them out. Whether it be sacrificing your energy shield to protect them or killing your Fury/Natasha to prevent a spawn raid, TEAM WORK IS KEY! #4 Be aware [2:18] Always be aware at all times. Be aware of beacons, be aware of the time left in the game, be aware of what the other team is running and be aware of what your teammates are doing. By being aware, you are able to adapt your strategy to counter the enemy. #5 Know your weapon ranges [3:21] This may seem like a simple thing but knowing your weapons in this game is important. All weapons are designed to do damage at different ranges. By knowing your ranges, you are able to identify not only what weapons the enemy is running, but you will be able to adapt your strategy accordingly. #6 Know your weapon types [4:12] There are different types of weapons such as ballistic, plasma, energy and splash. Each type has their advantages/disadvantages. By knowing these types, you will be able to react accordingly to what the enemy has and counter them. #7 Know your robot’s capabilities [4:29] Every robot has strengths and weaknesses. If a robot is fast, use it to capture beacons. If it has a shield, learn how to use it effectively. If the weapons are on the side, try to corner shoot more. #8 Learn how to corner shoot [5:01] Corner shooting is when you are able to fire the side weapons of your robot while hiding behind a structure/cover. This allows you to fire from a covered position using your surroundings as a shield. #9 Use your terrain to your advantage [5:31] Always use your terrain to your advantage. If there is natural cover nearby such as a hill, use it when engaging the enemy. Cover can also be used effectively when taking out enemy campers and advancing on the enemy. #10 Don’t be afraid to experiment [6:43] Don’t be afraid to test different builds. Some of my strongest builds have come as a result of me experimenting with different weapons. The most important thing - Always remember to have fun!
