WINTER WILD CAMPING in the LAKE DISTRICT/ Great Gable/ amazing scenery/ Hilleberg Allak 2
After a 3 month break I needed a epic walk and hoping for amazing scenery. I parked at the Honister slate mine and walked straight into pea soup for weather. But not letting that get me down, I reached Green Gable and Great Gable and then deciding to camp on a plateau about 50 metres below the summit. No views on the Thursday, but what was to open up on the Friday was some of the most amazing scenery I’ve seen. I headed back to my car on the Friday ticking off 4 wainwrights, Great Gable & Green Gable (again) and then Brandreth and Grey Knotts. An amazing days walk with amazing scenery. Enjoy and thanks for watching Sean
