Heretic Genius Found Prophecy Book, Made OP Magitech Armor and Secured Hottest Princess

After spending years publicly bullying priests, insulting gods, and turning every scientific conference into a crime scene, the kingdom's most unhinged magitech genius receives a prophecy book predicting one impossible event: The princess who keeps funding his research is going to die in seven days. Normally, he wouldn't care. Except the princess is also his favorite argument partner, biggest sponsor, emergency political shield, and the only person stubborn enough to tolerate him. So naturally, he responds in the most reasonable way possible: By sabotaging a train, carrying enough weapons to overthrow a small nation, and declaring war on fate itself. Unfortunately, fate fights back. Soon he's dodging magical snipers, battling a tiny anti-magic assassin who can delete spells with her bare hands, teleporting across battlefields, and getting roasted by the princess while both of them are actively losing a life-or-death fight. The prophecy says she's supposed to die. The assassins say she's supposed to die. Common sense says they're both supposed to die.
